Will I still have access to SECU's CashPoints® ATMs?

Will the interest rate on my loan stay the same?
Yes, loan rates will remain the same as your account moves from LGFCU to Civic.
Will Civic have kids' accounts?
Yes, you can open a YoungStar Savings Account for children, and a NextGen Savings and Checking Account for teens. If you have kids' accounts through LGFCU, the accounts will move over to Civic in June.
Will my account numbers change once my accounts move to Civic?
Most members will keep their current deposit account numbers. Those members who need to change will be contacted.
Does my direct deposit move over to Civic?
Yes, when your LGFCU accounts move to Civic, so will your direct deposit.
Will I be able to move money between Civic and other financial institutions?
Yes, you'll be able to add external financial institutions to your account and move money between them without a fee.
Do I need to open a new account with Civic prior to June?
You do not need to open a Civic account prior to transition. Your LGFCU accounts will automatically move to Civic. When you log into Civic for the first time, your username will stay the same but you will need to reset your password. You may re-enter the same password you used with LGFCU but we encourage selecting a new password as a security best practice.
If I open an account with Civic before the merger, will that impact my LGFCU account at merger?
If you are an existing LGFCU member and have already joined Civic, your LGFCU accounts will not combine with your Civic accounts. They will appear as separate accounts in your online banking dashboard.
I can’t pay my LGFCU credit card because I can’t see my balance in my account. What can I do?
As part of our transition to Civic, your LGFCU credit card will no longer appear in online/mobile banking or bank by phone. Look for your credit card balance on or after June 3 in Civic's banking channels. To make a payment or check the balance on your card before June 3, visit a Civic branch or call Civic. Mailed payments should go to 3600 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. REMINDER: activate your new Civic credit card now and use it to replace your LGFCU credit card.

Banking Basics

More financial solutions
One of the reasons LGFCU is becoming Civic is so we can bring you more financial products and services than you had before. Like an Interest-only Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC). A VA mortgage, FHA mortgage, Credit Builder Loan, and Emergency Loan. Even a Rewards Visa® card and Bonus Checking.

The best of both worlds
Some members like cool digital banking technology. Some like friendly, personal service from humans. When LGFCU becomes Civic this June, you’ll have both – an easy-to-use digital banking experience that lets you do your banking from anywhere at any time. Plus lots of friendly people here to help you when you need it.

See how we show up across the state
With online, in-app, and in-person banking options, you'll get a customized, personal experience unlike anywhere else.
1 Civic participates in select surcharge-free ATM networks. See the current list of locations at civicfcu.org/any-atm. Other ATM networks may charge an ATM fee that Civic will reimburse, up to a total of $20 per month per debit/ATM card, beginning on the first day of the month and ending on the last day. If you are eligible for an ATM fee reimbursement, funds are typically released by Civic to your account within two business days, but timing may vary.
2 All rights reserved. Terms and conditions apply. See Zelle® Terms of Service. Zelle® and the Zelle® related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license.
3 Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the payer’s submission of deposits. We generally post such deposits on the day they are received, which may be up to three days earlier than the payer’s scheduled payment date.
4 Message and data rates may apply.
