It takes a village

First-quarter Partnership Meeting, hosted this week at the Civic Conference Center in downtown Raleigh.

The power of collaboration was clearly demonstrated at our first-quarter Partnership Meeting, hosted this week at the Civic Conference Center in downtown Raleigh. Here are a few highlights of the meeting:

  • Mecklenburg County employee Strat Fotos shared MeckPathways the county’s Civic Excellence in Innovation Award-winning program for developing students through intern work within the county. The program promotes opportunities to experience hands-on learning about careers in local government.

The Excellence in Innovation Award is part of our credit union’s longtime partnership with the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. Learn more about the award program, and how to apply.
  • Civic staff shared a progress update on our new branches.
  • Civic staff also shared a sneak peek at our 2023 Impact Report, which promises to be an experience that makes us all proud to be members! The report clearly shows who we are and what we are about. Stay tuned for the entire report, coming soon!

Here’s another way we’re listening!

We’ve launched our credit unions’ inaugural Executive Advisory Council (EAC)!

First official branch location - Asheville

We’ve secured our first official branch location,* (aside from our headquarters in Raleigh), in Asheville at 275 Smokey Park Highway. With plans for more branches, these interactive centers prioritize guiding members in technology use for business, fostering digital comfort, and enabling cash deposits. We are close to announcing the next ones, so stay tuned!

AC Connects

On the road again! During November and December, our team hit 11 locations throughout North Carolina to meet with our Advisory Council members. Hundreds came to have great conversation, ask and answer tough questions and share ideas — all related to progress toward June 2025 independence.

Keep me posted!
